Electricity Registration for Foreigners in Turkey is very important to start a new life. Electricity bill is required for address registration and residence permit application. Immigration offices in Istanbul started to ask for utility bill for giving residence permit. Section 1: General Information About Electricity System in Turkey
- There is electricity provider for every city in Turkey
- Electricity meter counts your electricity usage and you get billed
- After renting or buying flat, you need to transfer the billing information to you name in order to use electricity
Section 2: Required Documents for Electricity Registration?
- Photo of the electricity meter
- Rent contract (if you are a tenant)
- Title deed copy (if you are owner of the flat)
- DASK insurance (Earthquake insurance)
- Copy of Residence Permit or Passport
- If you are opening for someoneelse, you need Power-of-Attorney

- You need to visit their officer
