Section 1: How long is a foreign driver's license valid in Turkey?
- Foreigners can use their driver's license for up to 6 months
- After 6 months they have to convert it into a Turkish driver's license. Or they can take exams in Turkey to get a new driver's license.

Section 2: How to convert your foreign license into a Turkish driver's license?
- You can make an appointment at randevu.nvi.gov.tr . This is the website of the Civil Registry Office (Nüfus Idaresi)
- Required documents:
* Your foreign driver's license and its copy
* Notarized translation of your driver's license
* Health report
* A copy of the residence permit
* 1 photo
* Notarized translation of your diploma
* Tax receipt
* Sometimes they ask about a criminal record in Turkey
- You bring these documents to Nufus Idaresi on the appointed day
- The government contacts your country and checks your driver's license.
- Then the Turkish government prints out the driver's license and sends it to you by mail.

Section 3: How to get a new driver's license in Turkey?
- If you do not have a foreign driver's license, you can get a new license in Turkey
- You need to enroll in a driving school and take a written exam. In addition, you need to pass a driving test.
- The test is conducted in Turkish, but you can take it with a translator
- Requirements:
* Passport
* Residence permit valid for more than 6 months
* 4 photos
* Notarized translation of the diploma
* Health report
* Criminal record
