August 4, 2022Procedures of getting admission to a private university in Turkey and studying in Turkey
In this new episode, I explain the procedures of getting admission to a private university in Turkey and studying in Turkey. You can easily get your admission letter, apply for a visa, get a student residence permit, and study in Turkey in 7 steps:
Step 1: Choose between public university and private university
- There are two types of universities in Turkey: public and private
- Public universities are affordable, however harder to get admitted. Foreigners need to take YOS exam to get admitted. I will explain it in another video.
- Private universities have tuition fee and admission is easier. Education quality is very good and courses are taught in English.
Step 2: Identify a program and choose the university accordingly
- Choose your academic program and go after your dreams
- Take a closer look at universities that offer that program
- Consider these criteria for choosing the target universities: campus or city university, location of university, career opportunities, reputation.
Step 3: Apply to the target universities
- You can contact the admission team and make a direct application
- You can work with a professional admission consultant
- I advise working with a professional admission consultant, because it is easier, more secure and less risky.
- Turquoise Education (www.university.com.tr) offers free admission consulting service.
Step 4: Receive your acceptance letter and make tuition payment
- After successfully submitting all documents, university evaluates your application.
- If successful, they give acceptance letter.
- You can make a deposit payment to secure your place and get the final acceptance letter that you can use for visa application.
Step 5: Apply for an education visa
- You can apply for the education visa at the nearest Turkish embassy in your country
- Take an appointment from the consulate and prepare the required documents
Step 6: Travel to Turkey and apply for the student residence permit
- Arrange your accommodation (university dorm, private dorm or rent a flat)
- Reserve your flight ticket and travel to Turkey
- Apply for the student residence permit.
Step 7: Begin your studies
